While it is traditionally considered a science, many Arts students specialize in Mathematics.

The Department of Mathematics offers a large selection of courses in various areas of pure and applied Mathematics. Programs available include Honours, Major, and Minor as well as Combined Majors in Mathematics and Economics.

Students are advised to consult a Mathematics advisor to design a coherent program of study suitable to their interests and abilities.

The major or minor can be declared on the Student Service Centre (SSC) when you have second-year standing. Admission to the Honours program requires consultation with Mathematics Honours advisors.
