Exam Conflict or Hardship

Your final exam schedule is normally available about one month into the term. You can check your final exam schedule by logging into the Student Service Centre — do it early.

Final exam conflict occurs when two or more of your final exams are scheduled at the same time.

Final exam hardship occurs when you’ve been scheduled to write three final exams within 24 hours (start to finish).

If you have a conflict or hardship, notify your professors as soon as possible, and no later than one month before the final exam. One of your professors may be able to provide you with an alternative time to write.

  • In the case of an final exam conflict, if you are unable to get an alternative time with one of your professors, complete the final exam conflict form (available from the Student Information Centre in Brock Hall — ground floor) and return it to Enrolment Services Student Information Centre.
  • In the case of an final exam hardship, if you are unable to get an alternative time with one of your professors, contact the Department Head of the middle exam for an appeal.
