Academic Planning & Advising

A Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree is a leadership degree: a degree that equips us to lead and contribute in meaningful ways to our society.

What’s in store for you

Your education in the Arts faculty is designed to give you breadth and depth of knowledge necessary for you to be an active participant on the world stage.

It involves learning initiative, responsibility, intellectual integrity, communicative fluency, and persuasiveness. It involves learning to grasp the multiplicity of discourse, developing familiarity with other cultures, building a civil society, appreciating science and technology, and conducting research.

What's the plan?

Degree planning involves choosing courses that will meet and complement your requirements and interests. Students complete two types of requirements: faculty or degree requirements, which are completed by all BA and BFA students regardless of major, and specialization requirements, which are courses you must complete according to your major.

Through travel, national and international work experience, academic exchange, volunteerism, and engagements with local, national and global communities, you are learning the habits of service and leadership in a world without borders. Make these experiences a part of your undergraduate experience, and you’ll experience an undergraduate education that is life-changing.
